My recent six-night stay at The Rookery was a dream come true, combining historical charm with warm hospitality. The hotel is beautifully designed, feeling like stepping into a time capsule filled with antique furnishings and rich décor, which I absolutely loved. While there were no in-room tea-making facilities at first (they did bring them upon request), I found everything else to be so good that this little hiccup didn’t ruin my experience at all.

I stayed in a Superior Double Room that boasted an antique four-poster bed, which was incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail in the decor made my room a cozy retreat, although the water pressure was a bit weak at times due to being on the top floor (not a deal-breaker, just something to note!).

The really good service truly made my stay nice. The staff were so attentive and friendly that they felt more like friends than hotel employees. From arranging transportation for me to providing fresh milk for my tea, they were always there to help.

While there’s no formal restaurant, the room service was quick and tasty (I particularly enjoyed my gluten-free options). Breakfast was good when served in the lovely garden area, adding a special touch to my mornings.

The facilities, although limited in terms of dining options, were well thought out. There was an atmospheric lounge perfect for relaxing, and the local eateries nearby provided plenty of choices. The honesty bar was a fun touch for a casual nightcap.

The staff were really good. always friendly and accommodating, ensuring my experience was seamless. However, the noise from the street was a bit intrusive during the night, particularly on a Saturday. Overall, I would definitely return again.

My stay at The Rookery was quite the mixed bag. I loved the cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor, not to mention the friendly staff who really added to the charm. However, I had some sleep issues due to a noisy air conditioning system and an uncomfortable bed, which left me feeling disappointed overall.

Rooms
5.0
My room was beautifully furnished, with antique decor that really gave it character, but I found the bed uncomfortable and the air conditioning rather noisy. One night was particularly tough because the gurgling sounds from the AC kept waking me up.
Service

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, always willing to help. However, I did feel let down by their responsiveness to pre-stay queries and a lack of special touches for my husband's birthday.
Location

The location was fantastic, close to Farringdon station and plenty of great dining options nearby, which made exploring London quite easy. I enjoyed being in a quieter area, yet still so close to central attractions.
Dining

I had an in-room breakfast that was nicely presented and very tasty. However, the room service menu was a tad limited for more varied dining options.
Facilities

The ambiance in the hotel was charming with lovely communal spaces. I appreciated the honesty bar concept, but I found the tea tray set-up a bit impractical given the delicate antique furniture.

My stay at The Rookery was indeed a charming experience. The room was steeped in history, with beautiful antique furnishings that really set the scene. However, the heating in my room was a slight issue, though they provided an electric heater quickly. Overall, I found it to be a cozy retreat from the bustling city.

I recently enjoyed a good stay at The Rookery, which truly felt like a hidden gem. The unique antique decor and cozy atmosphere added charm, though the noise from the nearby nightclub was a bit disruptive. The really good staff made my experience nice, being both welcoming and attentive throughout my visit.
